Agewell continues to provide a segment on the Promoting Excellence in the Care of People which is organised by Sue Howard from Sandwell Primary Care Trust. Older People Champions; Edna Barker, Karen Owen and Maggie Turner all have time on the course to talk to care professionals who work with older people about their roles and how they can help.
Agewell Sandwell member Sandra Tyrrell also runs a part of the course on looking at age discrimination. Sandra does a case study which involves all attendees and gets them to look at how different people involved with an older person can impact on them such as family, friends and carers. |
