Agewell Tipton Conference

Agewell Tipton held its first conference in on Friday 14th March 2008 at Brook Street Community Centre, Brook Street, Tipton. This exciting event was open to anyone over 50 who lived in the Tipton area.  Organiser Geraldine Child, Community Development Worker with Agewell, explained: “The venue was filled to capacity with over 80 older people. We wish we could have allowed more”. 

The centerpiece of the day was a play by the Fizzog Theatre group called, 'I’ve come to read the meter’.  The play looked at older people’s safety and was warmly received by attendees.  Also in attendance on the day were a number of organisations supporting the theme of the conference.
