The Employers Forum on AgeAgewell’s Midlife planning Team is a member of The Employers Forum on Age (EFA), one of the UK's leading authority on age.  Founded in 1996 the EFA is an independent network of leading employers who recognise the value of an age diverse workforce. In addition to supporting employers, the EFA influences Government, business and trade unions, campaigning for real practical change.

NHS EmployersNHS Employers represents trusts in England on workforce issues and helps employers to ensure the NHS is a place where people want to work.  Agewell’s Midlife Planning Team has been recognised as an example of good practice in addressing Positive Action and age.

The Age and Employment Network
(TAEN)

TAEN - Experts in Age & EmploymentTAEN - The Age and Employment Network is an independent charity operating through a team based in London and a group of regional consultants. TAEN was established in 1998 and was formerly known as Third Age Employment Network.

They are supported by Help the Aged and are based in their London headquarters at King’s Cross. Their funding is an indication of the importance of taking steps in mid-life that prevent future disadvantage and contribute to an active, healthy old age with a satisfactory quality of life.

They blend ethical values with business reality and experience. Their operational staff has blue chip experience, professional backgrounds and excellent skills.
Agewell’s Midlife Team is a member of TAEN and works closely with them.

Workwell

Workwell, in partnership with the business community, the local Primary Care Trust and other partners, aim to improve health and well being of workers.

Workwell’s objectives are to:

  • Raise awareness of health issues in the workplace
  • Promote health and well being in workplaces
  • Develop a framework and service delivery model appropriate for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s)
  • Work in partnership with businesses and other organisations to develop health policies
  • Plan and facilitate health improvement programmes for workplaces
  • Develop methods to evaluate the impact of health improvement programmes

Agewell’s Midlife Planning Team and Workwell work together closely on a number of issues relating to older people in the workplace.

 

Agewell’s Midlife Planning team are one of only ten international organisations to receive the coveted AARP International Innovative Employer Award.
